Ruby Applesauce

Ingredients

6 apples large cooking, peeled and sliced
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups cranberries, fresh
2 teaspoons lemon peels grated

Directions:

In a saucepan combine apples, corn syrup, and sugar. Cook, covered over medium heat for 30 minutes or until apples are almost tender. Add cranberries and lemon rind and cook, covered, 10 to 15 minutes longer. Cool. Place in a blender and blend until uniform. Cover and chill.
