Really Creamy Fettuccini

Serves: 7

1 pound fettuccini pasta
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 pound gorgonzola cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cup whipping cream


Cook pasta in boiling water according to package directions, adding lemon juice to boiling water; drain. Meanwhile, melt cut-up cheese and butter in top of double boiler over simmering water, whisking occasionally. Stir in cream, and remove from heat; allow to thicken. Toss pasta with sauce.

Editor’s Extra: Sprinkle crushed basil leaves over the top for extra color and flavor.
