Pound steak 1/4 inch thick, then cut into bite-size pieces. Beat egg with milk. Dip steak in egg mixture, then coat with crumbs. Brown steak in hot oil over medium heat, turning once. Cover, and cook over medium-low heat 45 –60 minutes or until tender. Season with salt and pepper.
