Cut apricots in half, remove seeds, and drain for at least an hour. Turn cut side up in glass baking dish and sprinkle with lemon juice and sugar; marinate overnight in refrigerator.
Just before cooking, crumble crackers coarsely over apricots; drizzle with butter. Bake at 350° for 40–50 minutes.
