Chocolate Sauce for Ice Cream

Chocolate sauce is so easy to make at home. It is so much better for you with out preservatives and unknown ingredients.

1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup milk (more or less as needed for consistency)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract


Combine sugar, cocoa, and salt in small saucepan.

Add enough milk to make desired consistency.

Add butter to cocoa mixture.

Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring constantly.

Allow to boil for 1 minute, stirring.

Remove from heat.

Add vanilla.

Serve warm over ice cream.

Add sliced bananas and chopped walnuts if you really want a treat!
