Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Centerpiece

Recipe by Kathy Oaks

Makes 1 Tree

Supplies:

  • 8" Styrofoam Craft Cone
  • Approximately 42 Strawberries
  • Different Colors of Dipping Chocolate
  • Wooden Skewers
  • Wax Paper

Directions:

Separate strawberries into sizes and group into layers for the tree. Melt dipping chocolate in microwave for 1 minute at a time, stirring throughly in between minutes until completely melted.

Dip strawberries in their layer colors and place on wax paper to set. When dry, place skewers (you may have to brake them in half) into the craft cone for the bottom layer. Slide on bottom layer strawberries. Continue the layers to the top of the cone and top with a strawberry. You can also do this with different fruits or Cake Bites. Use for a centerpiece or door prize. Yum!

"I might learn how to cook yet with all this software of yours. You can't believe how much it has helped. I've had friends come over (I'm just a single guy with a dog - but looking for the right woman) and rave about the meals I prepared for them. It's not all that hard if you just follow the directions. In the end I have to tell them my secret, it's not talent - it's your software.

Oh well, the food is still delicious. Now if I could just figure out how to use the dishwasher.
