Garlic Bread

Ingredients

1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
1 stick butter softened
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions:

1. Cut the loaf in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 1 1/2inch slices. Cut almost but not all the way through the bottom of the crust.
2. Mix together the butter and the garlic in a bowl until soft and spreadable.
3. Using a spatula or pastry brush, coat the bread halves with the garlic/butter spread. Place the halves on a baking sheet, and then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
4. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 20 minutes, or until the top of the bread is golden brown. Serve immediately.

Important tip
Check your bread right before, during, and after the suggested cooking time. It can go from being undercooked to burned to a crisp in less than a minute.
