1. Trim an inch or two from the stalky end of the asparagus.
2. Place an inch of water in the bottom of a pot, set a steamer basket on top, then add the asparagus. Bring the water to a boil, then cover the pot and steam the asparagus for 5 minutes, or until tender-crisp. Transfer to a serving platter.
3. Mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl, spoon over the hot asparagus, Stuff You’ll Need and serve.
