Peach And Cherry Cobbler

Ingredients

6 cups peaches, peeled, sliced
4 cups sweet cherries, pitted
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

TOPPING
1/3 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup heavy cream

GLAZE:
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cream
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Combine peaches, cherries, sugar, and cornstarch in large saucepan boil 1 minute. Remove from heat add fresh lemon juice spoon into glass baking dish. TOPPING: Mix together sugar, baking powder, and salt cut in butter until mixture crumbles. Stir in heavy cream knead slightly and roll out to 1/2-inch thick. Cut with 3-inch cookie cutter and place biscuits over the fruit. GLAZE: Combine sugar, cream and cinnamon brush over the biscuits. Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
