Apple Cobbler

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup milk
6 small apples
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups water

Directions:

Mix together flour, baking powder and salt cut in butter until coarse & crumbly. Add milk and stir until moistened. Form into ball roll out and cut into 6-inch squares. Peel and core apples and put one apple on each square. Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg sprinkle each apple dot with butter. Fold corners of dough over the apples and place in baking dish. Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and water pour over apples. Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes.
