Applesauce Dessert

Ingredients

2 cups graham cracker crumbs, divided
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
1/4 cup sugar
3 egg yolk, well beaten
1 (15-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chunky applesauce
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
1 egg white, beaten stiff
whipped cream

Directions:

Mix together 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (reserve 1/2 cup), butter, and sugar press into bottom and sides of baking dish. Combine egg yolks, milk, applesauce, juice, and lemon zest. Fold in stiff egg white. Pour into crumb crust, top with reserved crumbs. Chill overnight. Serve with whipped cream.
