Place chicken in large frying pan or electric skillet; add salt and pepper. Mix ketchup, Coca-Cola, and Worcestershire sauce together and pour over chicken. Simmer for one hour covered, turning once during cooking time. Serve with rice.
Editor's Extra: This works beautifully in a slow-cooker on low for 6–8 hours. Great for appetizer wings—add Tabasco or red pepper if you like hot wings.
Fun Fact: Coca-Cola was invented in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1886. The name “Coca-Cola” was suggested by inventor Dr. John S. Pemberton’s bookkeeper, Frank Robinson, who penned the name in the flowing script that is so famous today. During the first year, sales at Jacob’s Pharmacy in Atlanta averaged nine drinks a day, totaling fifty dollars for the year. Since expenses were seventy dollars, Dr. Pemberton took a loss. Today Coca-Cola products are consumed at the rate of one billion drinks per year.
