Chuck's Ranch Beans


Serves: 12

Ingredients

3 cups dry pinto beans or Anasazi beans
1 chunk salt pork, sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 to 3 cloves garlic, chopped
water
1 can tomato paste (small), opened
1 teaspoon cider vinegar
3 teaspoons chili powder
1 to 2 teaspoon sugar
salt

Directions:

If using pinto beans, soak overnight. Boil beans in water with onions, pork, and garlic for 3 hours. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 3 more hours.
