Ingredients

* See note below.
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon browning and seasoning sauce
1 turkey (11 to 13 lb.), thawed if frozen

Directions:

* Cooking Time: About 1 1/2 hours Power: 50% (350 watts) Standing Time: 20 minutes In a small bowl, stir together oil, paprika and browning and seasoning sauce until blended.

Rinse turkey and pat dry. Remove any metal clamps from legs. Generously brush entire outside of turkey with browning mixture. Place breast-side down on a microwavable roasting rack. If roasting rack is open, place in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch microwavable dish. Use small pieces of foil to shield bony areas of turkey such as the top of legs, tip of drumsticks, breast bone area and opening to body cavity.*
Cover breast half of turkey with plastic wrap, leaving leg area uncovered. Microwave at 50% power (350 watts) for 45 minutes, rotating turkey one-half turn every 15 minutes.

Remove and reserve juices from bottom of roasting dish. Turn turkey breast-side up. Use small pieces of foil to shield breast area and top of the wings.* Tuck wing tips under turkey. Baste with some of reserved juices. Cover loosely with plastic wrap. Microwave at 50% power for 45 minutes or until juices run clear, internal temperature in thickest part of thigh reaches 190° and leg moves easily, rotating turkey one-half turn every 15 minutes and basting with juices. Time for roasting turkey will be about 9 minutes per pound or about 1 1/2 hours total. If using a thermometer, insert into breast and into several places in the thigh area (don't let tip of thermometer touch the bone).

Roast Turkey - continued
