Black-Eyed Pea Dip

Ingredients

1 (16-ounce) can black-eyed pea with jalapeño peppers, drained
1/2 cup margarine
5 green onions, finely chopped
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 (8-ounce) package low-fat processed cheese, cubed
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:

Mash peas in large bowl until smooth. Add margarine and blend well. Stir in green onions, bacon, cheese spread, and garlic powder, mixing well. Pour mixture into 1-quart microwave-safe dish. Microwave at HIGH setting for 3–4 minutes or until cheese is melted. Stir well. Serve with tortilla chips or raw vegetables.
