Barbecued Steak

Ingredients

1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
4 pounds round steak, cut 1/2-inch thick

Directions:

Combine all ingredients except steak in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about 5 minutes over low heat. Keep barbecue sauce hot. Cut steak into serving-size portions. Place pieces in a large roasting pan. Pour hot barbecue sauce over meat. Cover and bake at 325° for 1 1/2–2 hours.
