Ingredients:
2 small broccoli crowns (about 8 ounces each)
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Cut the broccoli crowns into quarters, drizzle them with the olive oil, then sprinkle them with the salt, pepper and crushed red pepper flakes.

Place the broccoli in a parchment-lined 15x10x1-inch pan. Roast it until it's crisp-tender, 10 to 12 minutes.

Sprinkle the broccoli with garlic, and roast it five minutes longer. Then sprinkle on the Parmesan, and roast until the cheese is melted and the broccoli is tender, two to four minutes more. Finally, sprinkle it with the lemon zest. Editor’s Tip: Save time by using pre-minced garlic from a jar, but be careful to avoid the oil, as it can make the broccoli watery.
