Plump scarlet strawberries and fresh spinach are tossed with a bright poppyseed vinaigrette and toasted pecans in this sweet seasonal strawberry spinach salad.

1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons white or balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 tablespoon chopped onions
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 package (9 ounces) fresh spinach, trimmed
4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
Directions:
Add the olive oil, sugar, vinegar, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, chopped onion, paprika and Worcestershire sauce to a jar with a tight-fitting lid, and shake it well. Refrigerate the dressing for one hour, while you prepare the salad.
Just before serving, combine the spinach, strawberries and toasted pecans in a large serving bowl. When you're ready to serve, shake the dressing, drizzle it on the dressing and toss everything to coat.
