How Do I Save a Recipe From an Email?
This week's question comes from John Stimpson, who forwarded me a recipe email and asked:
Great question, John!
Whenever someone emails you a recipe, you don't have to retype it or copy and paste it into Cook'n by hand. Instead, let the Magical Cook'n Elves do the work for you using Magic Scan.
Here's the quickest way:
- Copy the recipe from your email.
- Open Cook'n on your computer.
- Click the Snip-It button on the toolbar.
- Select Copy Recipes from Clipboard.
- Click Magic Scan.
That's it!
Within seconds, the Magical Cook'n Elves will organize the ingredients, directions, servings, and other recipe information automatically. It's one of my favorite features because it turns almost any recipe into a beautifully organized Cook'n recipe with just a few clicks.
So the next time a friend emails you a favorite family recipe—or you subscribe to a newsletter that sends recipes by email—you'll know exactly what to do.
Thanks for the great question, John! Keep those questions coming. They often turn into tips that help thousands of other Cook'n users.
Happy Cook'n!
Dan
