Should We Build a Cook’n Tips Library?
A longtime Cook’n user, Jim Jewell, sent in a thoughtful suggestion this week.
He said that he often remembers reading helpful tips in our “Notes From Folks” section, like how to remove duplicate units such as:
“Could you make a FAQ list of ‘Notes From Folks’ somewhere on the support web page? I read them and there is a lot of good info in them. Then many months go by I remember you posted about a problem I’m having now … and can’t find the answer.”
– Jim Jewell
Jim… that is a GREAT idea.
The article you’re remembering is here.
That tip shows how to use the Merge feature in the Units list to clean up duplicates safely.
Over the years, we’ve shared hundreds of practical tips:
- Cleaning up duplicate units
- Fixing sync issues
- Using Merge
- Printing tricks
- Organizing cookbooks
But once the newsletter goes out, those tips can get buried in the archives.
So here’s my question for you:
Would you like to see a searchable Cook’n Tips Library on the support page?
If enough of you say yes, the Cook’n Elves may just get to work on it. 🧝♂️✨
Thanks again, Jim, for being a longtime member of the Cook’n family and for helping us make Cook’n better.
– Dan
