Turkey Avocado Sandwich

With this recipe, two can enjoy the taste of something new and elegant in minutes. All you need to add is the ambiance for a bistro meal at home.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup shredded smoked gouda cheese
4 teaspoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon thinly sliced green onions
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
4 slices whole wheat bread, toasted
2 teaspoons butter, softened
leaf Romaine
4 slices tomatoes
4 ounces sliced deli smoked turkeys
1/2 medium ripe avocado

Directions:
Mix first 5 ingredients. Spread 2 slices of toast with butter, then with cheese mixture. Layer with lettuce, tomato and turkey.

Peel and mash avocado; spread over remaining 2 slices of toast. Place toast, avocado side down, over turkey.
