Flautas: a Lunch to Try

By Sydney Hill

I get sick of the same old lunches and itch to try new things, but I don't usually want to spend a lot of time making something in depth for lunch. I just want something tasty and easy. And then I'm ready to get back to my day. Here's something quick to try, and the name is just too fun to say.

I watched the lady who gave this recipe to me make this in front of my eyes. It was so fast and easy. She talked while she made it and said her kids LOVE it. It was done quickly and then I tried it. It's a keeper.

Flautas

Serving size: 5
Calories per serving: 28

Ingredients:
2 cups shredded chicken
1 can salsa verde
1/2 cup grated cheese
salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, to taste
flour tortillas

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Coat bottom of 9 X 13 pan with oil. Mix all ingredients except tortillas. Spoon a little of the mixture into each tortilla, roll up tight, and stack tightly into the pan. Brush the top of the Flautas with oil and bake until golden brown (about 15 minutes).
