Texas BBQ Sauce

By Karla Jackson

Red, White and Blue Smoking BBQ just to name a few... zzzzzzz. Rewind I thought you'd ask... but I thought she said "I grew up in San Diego!" True! And then I was blessed to get to live in the beautiful state of Texas where the bluebonnets grow along the side of the freeway.

I lived in Lewisville, Texas just north of Dallas for 9 years longer than I was living in San Diego. I loved Texas! I especially loved the smoky flavor of brisket. Just the best flavors and so traditional of Texas is there hours of smoking their meats! So some day we will have to talk about smokers and Weber kettles, but for now this is a sauce that you fix and then just dip your meat into it as you enjoy eating your Crusty Steaks.
