Season chicken pieces with salt, paprika, and cayenne. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown chicken on all sides in olive oil. Remove chicken from skillet and place in slow cooker. Add balsamic vinegar, garlic, and leeks to skillet and stir together for 1 minute; stir in artichoke hearts and white wine. Pour skillet ingredients over chicken in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours.
