Calzone Filling

1 cup cooked and drained ground beef
1 cup cooked and drained Italian sausage
8 ounces tomato sauce
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese divided
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning


In a large bowl, mix all ingredients (except 1 cup of mozzarella) together. Stir well so all ingredients are coated with tomato sauce. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the reserved cheese on top of each calzoneā€™s filling prior to baking.
