Creamy Coffee Granita

Serves: 9
Total Calories: 40


6 cups hot, strong brewed coffee
1/2 cup sugar
Garnish: whipped cream


Pour coffee and sugar into a 13"x9" baking pan, stirring to dissolve sugar. Cover with plastic wrap; place in freezer. Freeze for 3 hours, scraping occasionally, until frozen. Serve topped with whipped cream.

Tip: Garnish summer beverages with fruit-flavored ice cubes. Cut favorite fruits like watermelon, cantaloupe, kiwi or honeydew melon into cubes, purée in a food processor and freeze in ice cube trays.
