Cinnamon Blueberry Calendar

8 pitted dates, diced and pureed*
1 cup lowfat milk
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 cups blueberries
1 1/2 cups sliced bananas (2 large bananas)
1 cup blueberry lowfat frozen yogurt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


Place the pureed dates with milk, honey, blueberries, banana, yogurt, and cinnamon in a blender, and mix on low speed until the mixture is blended. Continue mixing,
gradually increasing the speed, until the mixture is smooth. Pour into glasses and garnish by inserting two Cinnamon-Coated Fusilli (see Garnishes with a Flourish) upright in each smoothie, if desired.

*To puree dates: Combine the dates and 1/2 cup boiling water in a cup set aside for 15 minutes. Cover the cup with plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours or until well chilled. When chilled, drain the dates. Combine the dates and milk in the blender and puree. Add the remaining ingredients and proceed accordingly.
