Sourdough Waffles

Serves: 4

1 cup sourdough bread starter
2 cups milk
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 teaspoon sugar
1/3 cup oil
1 teaspoon club soda


Mix starter, milk, and flour in the evening and store in warm place overnight. Mix all other ingredients and cook on hot iron. Oil may be melted bacon grease or cooking oil. Cook all batter and freeze excess quarters for later toasting. Makes 3 to 4 large waffles.
