More-Than-Pasta Salad

2 cups pasta shells uncooked medium or rainbow pasta (about 8 oz.)
1/3 cup italian herb dressing
3/4 cup celery sliced
1 (6-ounce) jar marinara sauce drained and cut if large
1/2 cup carrot thinly sliced
1/4 cup olives sliced
2 tablespoons green onions sliced
2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon basil dried basil leaves, crushed


Cook pasta according to package directions drain well. Return to saucepan, pour dressing over warm pasta and toss to coat well cool.

Add celery, artichoke hearts, carrots, olives and green onions, tossing until well blended. Transfer to a bowl. Refrigerate at least 20 minutes or up to 4 hours or until chilled.

Just before serving, stir in mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and basil.
