Hot Or Cold Carob Milk

2 tablespoons carob powder dissolved in 2 tablespoons hot water
1 cup milk
1/3 cup dry milk powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk cold or 1 cup boiling water


In blender or food processor, combine all ingredients, blend until smooth. Use cold milk for a cold shake. Use boiling water for hot drink.

Note: Carob is a nutritious substitute for chocolate for the allergic and diet conscious. It is low in fat and delicious. It is derived from the carob-tree pod and milled into a powder. Available at most supermarkets and at healthy food stores.
