DESSERTS TO DIE FOR

Almost-Fried Ice Cream

By Sydney Hill

If you've ever had that fried ice cream at a restaurant, you'll know what this is all about. If you haven't, then just trust that this almost-fried ice cream is about the simplest dessert to throw together, but your guests will still be dying over it.

Does ice cream make anyone else happy? Sometimes a bowl of ice cream is all I need to bring me out of the blues. But I don't do just plain ice cream, I've got to have something with it or have a mix-in. This dessert is perfect if all I have is some vanilla.

Almost-Fried Ice Cream

Yield: (recipe is per serving)

Serving size: 1
Calories per serving: 114.5

Ingredients:
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup Cinnamon Honey Bunches of Oats cold cereal (or regular Honey Bunches of Oats with 1/2 tsp cinnamon)
1 tablespoon honey
2 fresh strawberries

Directions:
Cut strawberries into slices or bite sized pieces. Scoop ice cream into a bowl and top with cereal. Drizzle honey over cereal and top with strawberries. Eat immediately. P.S. you can roll ice cream into a ball first and then roll in honey bunches, but that is if you’re going for presentation.
