Mexican Macaroni and Cheese

Serves 6


4 cup cooked macaroni
2 pound ground beef
2 cup Velveeta pasteurized process cheese spread , cubed
1/2 cup picante sauce
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Brown ground beef in a skillet and add salt and pepper to meat while cooking. Place Velveeta, milk, margarine and salsa in a microwave proof bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Heat in microwave for about 3 minutes, stirring once. If the cheese is still not melted after the 3 minutes cook for an additional minute. Combine meat, macaroni, and cheese mixture in a large bowl and stir thoroughly. Serve immediately.
