Grilled PB&J

Serves: 5
Total Calories: 69
Yield: 1 sandwich

Ingredients

2 slices bread
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons raspberry jam (or jam of your choice)
2 teaspoons butter

Directions:

1. Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and the jelly on the other. Then put the slices together to form a sandwich. Spread half the butter on the top slice of bread.
2. Melt the remaining butter in a hot pan set over medium-high heat. Place the sandwich in the pan buttered side up, and cook for 1 minute or just until the bread on the bottom is golden brown.
3. Flip the sandwich over and cook for another 30 seconds or until the bottom is golden brown.
4. Remove from the pan and serve immediately.

Important tip
This sandwich needs to be browned quickly so the peanut butter doesn’t melt too much. Use medium-high heat and flip the sandwich the second the bottom of the bread is toasted golden brown.
