Crab Meat en Brochette: White House

Ingredients

3 pounds fresh crab meat
3 cups soft bread crumbs
1/2 cup dry sherry
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon chopped chives
bacon slices, cut in half

Directions:

Combine the crab meat, bread crumbs, sherry, mustard, and chives. Mix well. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Wrap each ball in 1/2 slice bacon and fasten bacon with toothpick. Thread on skewers and broil under medium heat for 15 minutes or until well browned, turning frequently.

Author’s note: Instead of using soft bread crumbs, try using Italian seasoned bread crumbs.
