Swiss Steak

Ingredients

2 pounds beef round steaks
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon thyme
salt and pepper
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 cup tomato sauce

Directions:

Cut round steak into pieces pound until tender and flat. Mix together flour, thyme, salt, and pepper cover meat. Brown the steaks on both sides in bacon grease, if possible. Add onion and garlic sauté 2 minutes. Add tomato sauce and simmer two hours. Before serving, remove any fat pour drippings over the steaks.
