Chili Steak

Ingredients

2 pounds round steak
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (10 1/2-ounce) can beef broth
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (4-ounce) can green chili pepper drained, seeded and chopped
2 tablespoons cornmeal
corn bread

Directions:

Cut round steak into cubes brown in skillet with olive oil and garlic. Drain fat and add broth, sugar, oregano, bay leaves and salt. Simmer about 1 hour until beef is very tender. Add chili peppers and cornmeal. Simmer about 30 minutes. Serve over Corn Bread.
