Hearty Italian Soup

Ingredients

1 pound mild link sausage
1 pound hot link sausage
4 carrots, peeled, diced
1 1/2 pounds zucchini, diced
2 green peppers, diced
1 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup white cooking wine
10 cups chicken broth
2 large cans peeled whole tomatoes
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
black pepper to taste
1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
1 1/4 cups Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Remove casings from sausage, dice. Brown in soup pot; drain fat. Add diced vegetables, onions, and garlic to pot, stirring until soft. Add remaining ingredients except orzo and cheese, and bring to a boil. When boiling, add orzo and cook 20 minutes. Serve and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
