Chilled Peach Soup

Ingredients

10 medium-size fresh peaches, peeled and pitted, or 2 (1-pound) bags frozen peaches
1 1/2 cups softened vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup half and half
1/4 cup white wine
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar (approximately)

Directions:

PureƩ the peaches in food processor or blender. add ice cream, half-and-half, wine, and nutmeg; blend until smooth. add sugar to taste, and chill at least 2 hours before serving.


Fun Fact: You can buy two main varieties of peaches: clingstone (the flesh sticks to the stone) and freestone (the stone is easily separated from the flesh).
