Mad About Crab Puffs

1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 egg
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 (6-ounce) can crabmeat, drained
3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 plum tomato, finely chopped
2 tablespoons minced green onions
4 dashes Tabasco


Unroll dough on lightly floured surface; press perforations to seal. Press into 8x12-inch rectangle; cut into 2-inch squares; place on ungreased baking sheet. Brush with butter/garlic powder mixture.

Bake in 375° oven 4–6 minutes till puffy. In a bowl, beat egg and mayonnaise, then stir in remaining ingredients. Spoon tablespoons of mixture on baked squares. Bake 10–12 minutes longer or till slightly browned. Best served warm.
