Nutty Cranberry Apple Salad

Ingredients

8 cups torn leaf lettuce
2 unpeeled apples, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup chopped walnuts, toasted

Poppyseed Dressing:
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon poppyseed

Directions:

Toss all together in big salad bowl.

Poppyseed Dressing:
In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine all;shake well. Pour over salad just before serving; toss to coat.

Editor's Extra:
Pears make a great alternative to apples when in season.
