Pumpkin Bars

Ingredients

3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 (16-ounce) can pumpkin canned
4 eggs
2 cups flour, stirred and measured
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup walnuts chopped

Directions:

In large mixing bowl cream together butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in pumpkin and eggs. Add combined dry ingredients mix well. Stir in nuts. Spread mixture into greased and floured 10x15-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Spread with Cream Cheese Frosting (recipe in this cookbook). Makes 24 bars.
