Potatoes Gratin


Serves: 10

Ingredients

3 pounds potatoes new
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
1 1/4 cups cream
1 cup chicken broth (your own or canned)
1 1/2 cups Swiss cheese grated natural

Directions:

Heat oven to 350° F. Peel and thinly slice potatoes uniformly. Place in greased shallow 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix cream and chicken broth pour at edge of dish to barely cover potatoes. Add a bit more cream if needed. Bake, covered, for 1/2 hour bake, uncovered, for an additional 1/2 hour. Test for tenderness. Sprinkle cheese over top of potatoes and return to oven until cheese is melted.
