In a small saucepan, mix chili con carne and cream cheese. Cook and stir over low heat until cream cheese melts.
Pour into a chafing dish or fondue pot. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over the top and cover until Cheddar cheese melts. Serve warm with chips.
To Microwave: Place cream cheese in a 1-quart microwavable dish. Microwave, uncovered, at 100% power (700 watts) for 30 to 45 seconds or until softened. Stir in chili until blended. Microwave, uncovered, at 50% power (350 watts) for 2 minutes or until heated through. Stir. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Microwave at 50% power for 2 minutes or until Cheddar cheese softens, turning after 1 minute. Let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
