Flat Top Gyros

Ingredients

2 pounds pork or beef, sliced into strips
salt
pepper (go very heavy on the pepper)
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 cup onion, diced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup parsley, chopped
garlic powder
2 tomatoes, chopped
4 pita bread
------------------------------
Tzatziki Sauce:
3/4 cup Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
3/4 cup sour cream
3/4 package dry ranch salad dressing mix
2 cucumbers, peeled, seeded and grated (or chopped fine)

Directions:

Mix all ingredients for the Tzatziki sauce together and refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour.

Mix meat with thyme and lemon juice and let sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Season steak with salt and pepper then brown on griddle with a small amount of cooking oil over medium heat. Place pita on top of meat and cover until heated through.

Remove pita and spread on Tzatziki sauce, fill with meat and top with tomatoes, onions, and parsley. Roll pita around filling.
