Fiery Flour-Pepper Bread

Ingredients

3/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon red pepper sauce
1 tablespoon chopped jalapeno chiles
2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
3 cups bread flour
1/4 teaspoon medium grind black pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine or quick active dry yeast

Directions:

Make 1 ½-Pound Recipe with bread machines that use 3 cups flour, or make 2-Pound Recipe with bread machines that use 4 cups flour.

Measure carefully, placing all ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.

Select Basic/White cycle. Use Medium or Light crust color. Do not use delay cycles. Remove baked bread from pan, and cool on wire rack.

SUCCESS TIP
This fiery bread, "peppered" with four different forms of pepper, has a lower volume than other bread machine loaves. The texture and eating quality, however, is just as good as any taller loaf of bread.
