Quick Stir-Fried Chicken

Ingredients

3 tablespoons peanut oil
4 tablespoons soy sauce
3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
2 teaspoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons cold water
2 cups raw chicken, sliced julienne
1 (6-ounce) package frozen Chinese pea pods
1 (8-ounce) can water chestnut, drained and sliced
3/4 cup chopped fresh broccoli
2 oranges, sectioned
1 bunch green onions, trimmed and quartered
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
2 cups cooked rice or chow mein noodles

Directions:

Heat oil in wok or skillet over medium heat. When hot, add soy sauce and garlic salt, and stir. Combine cornstarch and water, and set aside. Add chicken to pan and stir-fry, about 3 minutes. Add pea pods, water chestnuts, and broccoli, and stir-fry 2 minutes. Reduce heat then add orange sections, green onions, mushrooms, and cornstarch. Stir until thickened and serve over rice or noodles.
