Pecan Pie Cake

Ingredients

1 (18 1/2-ounce) package yellow cake mix, divided
1/2 cup margarine, melted
4 eggs, divided
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Directions:

Set aside 2/3 cup of cake mix for topping. Combine remaining cake mix with melted margarine and one egg; mix well. Press into a greased and floured 13"x9" baking pan; bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Mix reserved cake mix, remaining eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Pour over baked cake; sprinkle with pecans. Bake for an additional 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool.

Tip: Chopped or crushed candy bars make a fast & easy topping for frosted cakes. Try using toffee, caramel or nougat bars…mmm!
