Cook’n Cookbooks and Giveaway!

One of the many great features of Cook’n is the ability to create and organize cookbooks. When you download a new cookbook, it’s automatically filed away as its own cookbook, making it easier to keep things organized! But you can also create your own cookbooks, and organize them in whatever way you want! Yet another thing I love about Cook’n :).

Any time you input a recipe, the very first box asks for the cookbook. If you have downloaded a cookbook from our website, then the cookbook is already listed for you. If you are putting in a new recipe, you have the chance to create a cookbook or add it to one that already exists. I love the possibilities that present themselves at the thought that you can create any cookbook you want.

Of course, you could keep it simple, and easily organize your recipes according to the cookbook they came from. Some of the cookbooks I have are Taste of Home, Pampered Chef, Classic Rachael Ray 30 Minute Meals, just to name a few. Anytime I add a new recipe from these cookbooks or sources, I put them in their corresponding cookbook. The OCD side of me loves this because I know exactly where each recipe came from, in case I want to share it with others and want to be able to give them the source quickly and with little thought. I also have a cookbook called Internet Recipes for all those yummy things I find on blogs, Pinterest, etc.

But there are so many other ways you could organize your recipes! One cookbook that I am starting is Quick and Easy Recipes. With all the things that have been going on in my life lately, this is going to be such a helpful way for me to organize my recipes in a way that I know exactly where to find them, and I’ll know exactly where to look when I’m scrounging for last minute dinner ideas.

Another thing I’ve really been into lately is Freezer and Crock Pot meals. I have been collecting recipes from friends and from sources online, and what better way to store them than in their own individual cookbook? Again, it makes it so easy to find the recipe later!

Some other ideas of cookbooks you could create: Hubby’s Favorites, Pot Luck recipes, Family Recipes, Dairy-Free, Mommy meals (for taking meals to other people), etc. I have even heard of people creating cookbooks for DIY recipes- bubbles, laundry soap, etc. Seriously, you could do all kinds of things with the cookbook option!

I would love to hear your ideas. How has Cook’n helped you organize your recipes? What are some cookbook ideas you have created?

Be sure to leave a comment, because we will be randomly selecting a winner from those who comment to be the lucky winner of a cookbook of their choice! Since we’re talking about cookbooks, why not give one away ;) ?

These are just a couple of the many cookbooks you can choose from. You can check out a list of all the cool cookbooks we have at this link: https://www.dvo.com/cookbooks.php

I can’t wait to hear all your wonderful ideas!
