You Still Have 121 Days To Accomplish Your Goals This Year!

I don’t know about you, but this year has flown by! I always feel like the beginning of the year is a little more sluggish, and then once fall hits the year is pretty much over.

But that’s far from the case. From September 1 to December 31, you have 4 months, or 121 days. That’s a LOT of days left in the year! I know we all tend to make goals at the beginning of the year. There’s something about new beginnings that just make us feel more inspired to try new things, create new habits, make new goals.

Sure, it’s not the beginning of the year. But that doesn’t matter! You can still accomplish so much in just 4 months- 121 days is a lot!

Just think. If you read for only 15 minutes a day, that’s 1,815 minutes. That’s a TON of reading time! What books on your list (whether for fun or personal development) could you read by the end of the year in just 15 minutes a day?

If you’re trying to live a healthier lifestyle and your goal is to lose just 5 pounds a month- you’d be down 20 pounds by the end of the year!

If you have travel destinations on your bucket list, you have 4 months to make it happen! Plan a weekend away or plan a week vacation (Christmas gift, anyone?) and make that destination happen!

If your goal is to learn how to bake a new dish- you have 17 weeks to make it happen! You could easily bake one new dish per week and have 17 new recipes in your repertoire!

If your goal is to declutter your home, think of how many projects you could accomplish! Tackle one small area in your home per week, and you could have 17 areas of your home decluttered and organized by New Year’s Eve!

If your goal is to walk one mile a day, you could walk 121 miles by the end of the year! If you shot for 2 miles a day, you could walk 242!! That’s a lot of mileage!

If your goal is to eat more vegetables, add one extra serving per day for the rest of the year, and that’s an extra 121 servings of vegetables that you wouldn’t have had otherwise! And with flu season around the corner, it’s the perfect time to boost that immune system.

If your goal is to learn a new instrument, and you practice just 30 minutes every day, that’s 3,630 minutes of playing time! You could learn a LOT in that amount of time! And think of all the muscle memory you’d develop in that time as well!

If you’d like to learn a new language, spend just 15 minutes a day and you’ll have 1,815 minutes under your belt. Learning a language takes a lot of effort, but you’d be amazed how much you can learn in 4 months! (My husband and I have been learning Spanish and I’m surprised how much I know in just the past few months of us learning!)

All this to say- you have time! Don’t tell yourself it’s too late to start a goal- because as shown above, you still have so much time!

What goals would you like to accomplish in the next 121 days?
