3 teenagers who bring home friends!! :)

for 2-3 people in my home

We have entered 300 to 400 per month for the months of Mar through Jun only. The remaining months would be around the 100. per month. We have a large garden and we do preserving and pressure canning

Family of 3=$750.00 - we eat organic

5 to 6 hundred is what we budget for a family of 4. I don't think that is too bad. ;-)

i do run a day care & have 6 kids of my own

3 Adults

depends on number in family also

I wonder the size of the family that is being fed at these prices and the additional food activities, like parties, potlucks, etc.

Used to spend more, but started couponing; last month saved 40%

The number of family members will also alter totals.

It would be nice to know the size of the household

We are a family of 14 so that is definately a factor on our outgo

You should also ask how many people are in the hosuehold to make this poll meaningful.

clarify how many in family

I think you should also ask how many people we are feeding. Ny grocery budget is high but I'm feeding 6 people all over age 16 and half of them are guys!

It's just the two of us.

Only 2 of us and I buy in bulk and freeze or can. Oven canning pastry flour.

depends on size of family

This would be a better guide if we knew how many people in the family, right?

Family of two

includes pet food and products. Coupons, and shopping with a list and sticking to the list. Going early when the reduced meat, milk and breads are first put out is a great idea. Repackage the meat a freeze.

guess we are about average

I fall into the 200-300 dollar range for a family of 3.

you should add a "qualifier" for family size

This should be a two part question

You should also consider how many people in your family!

We have a family of 8

We are a family of 9. Dad, Mom and 7 kids. We try to stay close to $500 for all our grocery, toiletry, and cleaning needs. I use coupons as much as possible to reduce costs. We have only one in diapers.

2 kids, 2 adults

I can serve anywhere from 3 to 14 people at any given dinner time so I am always ready.
